Sandie
Saul Roy
We met Sandie Saul Roy in Paris at her apartment “34, rue Louise-Emilie”. A beautiful space personally decorated and furnished by Sandie with artwork and individual design pieces.
After working for 30 years, including more than 20 at the helm of her eponymous PR agency specializing in fashion and lifestyle, Sandie Roy Saul has decided to take on a new challenge. When the circumstances of her previous job changed, she decided to leave everything behind to dedicate herself exclusively to combining her two greatest passions: sharing and interior design.
The ageless charm of the apartment she was able to build began with a very basic concept: it should feel like a magazine open for gatherings, in the true spirit of the so-called "parlour," so that people might feel comfortable and free.
Sandie confessed she now finds herself in what she calls her second life, just like the furniture and objects found at “34, rue Louise-Emilie”. Each tells a story and exudes a new authenticity, despite the fact that they are all vintage and second-hand pieces. The aim was to recall the unique spirit of the 19th century, when writers and artists came together to exchange ideas in a context of peace and creativity. Sandie loves to hunt for second-hand objects to give them a second life; she does this everywhere and all the time.
Another project Sandie has embarked on is making objects. You will see a beautiful wooden piece in some of our photographs taken during Sandies feature. She found the wooden object during a furniture hunt for a project. When Sandie brought it back to 34, Rue Louise-Emilie, everyone instantly fell in love with the piece and wanted to buy it from her. In that instance she decided she was going to re-produce it, she found a local young carpenter in the outskirts of Paris who could re-make this ancient piece manually sculpting it the traditional way with a gouge.
She is fascinated by the idea of beautifying something that has already had its own life but at the same time has so much more to tell.
Located in the heart of the 9th arrondissement, it is perfect for launches, photo shoots, meetings, exhibits, and celebrations. Some of the most exclusive and sought-after Parisian dinners are held there as well.
