MEGAN
WEST

Megan West is an Associate Creative Director at Refinery29. Originally from Florida, Megan has lived in NYC for 10 years and calls Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, her home. Her love for creativity led her to work with Martha Stewart, Wired Magazine, and Vampire Weekend, all leading to her present role ideating campaigns and overseeing the holistic creative direction and treatment of branded content campaigns for Refinery29.

Megan is also a wonderful painter. She specializes in painting patterns for textile designs. Her patterns have been featured in collaboration with Esby Apparel, Declan and Related Threads, among others.  Each embody a subtle juxtaposition of natural beauty and calculated composition. It’s an organic beauty, evocative of a fallow field overgrown with wild flowers, or the mesmerizing swirls of waves upon the rocks.

“I’m intrigued by the many facets of creativity. Consuming vs. creating, collaboration vs. independent, extroverted vs. introverted and so on. Painting became a way for me to explore introverted and independent creativity with no deadline attached.” Check out Megan’s exuberant yet delicate paintings on her website below.

We shot Megan in Washington Square Park and at Court Street Grocers, LaGuardia Place, (which her boyfriend co-owns - their sandwiches are yummmm).

Megan wears The A-Skirt in Terra paired with our Silk Gold Amber Ren Blouse and The Trench Coat in Camel Wool (currently sold out - check out instead in The Trench Coat in Terra Wool or in Deep Blueand later on The Polka Ava Dress.
