Marie Absolonova is a freelance footwear designer from a little town in Czech republic.
Fifteen years ago at high school, Marie studied design and shoemaking and entered the world of footwear.
Over these years, she’s developed a unique and instantly-recognizable style that echoes traditional classic design with a fun and contemporary twist.
Marie tends to make eye-catching statement shoes that often tell a personal story.
Working with Mallorca-based footwear brand Camper for almost 8 years has defined an important and fruitful chapter in her career and we’re excited to see how this partnership continues to grow and evolve!
Currently, Marie is based in Prague, and travels to Mallorca regularly. She also works freelance and focuses on designing kids shoes and other personal and commissioned projects.
We met Marie and her beautiful family (Tomas + Mila) in Banyalbufar, Mallorca, where we she wore the Night Blue Wool Blazer & matching new Judo Skirt with the Deep Blue Cashmere Wool Trench Coat. Later in the Terra Wide Klein Striped Pablo Silk Shirt and matching Terra Randa Pants (please contact us for purchase). The day before the shoot we received Silk Velvet pieces from our Oro collection so we were thrilled to shoot Marie in the Oro Silk Ava Top and Judo Pants together with our Silk Velvet scrunchie on a beautiful cloudy afternoon in the Tramuntana mountains.
