Franco-Taiwanese Louise Chen is a DJ and journalist currently living between Paris and Luxembourg and has been obsessed with music ever since her Dad showed her how to make her own mix-tapes back in the 90s. He and Louise used to trade cassettes of music: “He would send me the Rolling Stones and Stevie Wonder and I would send him All 4 One and The Smashing Pumpkins… In 2012 I started a party in Paris called ‘Girls Girls Girls’ and since then DJing became my full time job! I started off as a hip-hop DJ and, as a massive nerd, went on to look for all the original versions of the soul and jazz tunes that are sampled in hip-hop which opened the door to ALL MUSIC. Now I still play hip-hop and R&B from time to time but my favourite music to play in clubs is Soul, Funk, Disco and House. Nowadays, I still host a party called ‘Chentertainment’ in Paris where I invite notorious record collectors like Ge-ology, Sadar Bahar, Mafalda, Hunee… And also get to invite House & Techno artists like Bambounou, Dego, Moxie and sometimes I get to organise events with The Lot Radio like a daytime BBQ event in New York we hosted with The Grill Gang. The Lot Radio is my favourite web radio in the world and the team is like family to me so I love working with them on projects around the world!”

With extensive experience in the music industry working at record label Ninjatune and hosting and DJ-ing at her own club nights and parties, Louise produces video reports for Snatch Magazine and Radio Nova and is always posting good music and places for us to visit! Always looking understated and oozing elegance, we caught up with Louise in SoHo, New York where she was hosting an event, she wore two of our Ren Jumpsuits; our Olive Green Silk Ren Jumpsuit and the Charcoal Grey Wool Ren Jumpsuit, both one size fits all and come with a band.
