Karin
Önder
We were introduced to Karin Önder’s world a few years ago here in Mallorca.
As the co-founder of Souvenir Official, a Berlin-based fashion label she started with her husband, David Mallon, Karin gained international recognition for pieces like the iconic "EUnify" hoodie, famously worn by Vivienne Westwood. Born in Germany to Aramaic guest workers, her heritage deeply informs the brand’s exploration of themes like memory and identity.
In 2021, Karin and David left Berlin for Sóller, Mallorca, embracing a slower, more sustainable way of life. There, they founded Earth Core Gallery—a space where art and fashion meet through hand-dyed, naturally crafted garments. Inspired by Mallorca’s slow fashion movement, they collaborate with local artisans to connect creativity with community.
Their newest project, a pop-up Matcha Bar within the gallery, reflects their commitment to wellness and conscious living. For Karin, taking bold steps is key: “If you have an idea and an opportunity, even if it’s risky, just go for it. You can always change direction.”
Karin wears the Night Sky Loden Alpaca Vest with the Night Sky Loden Alpaca Wrap Mini Skirt. Later, she wears the Nata Silk Ren Blouse and matching Nata Silk Judo Pants. Last, Karin wears the Night Sky Loden Alpaca Ren Jumpsuit with the Avellana Brushed Wool Scrunchie.
