Gillian
Wilkins

Born in Brisbane, Australia, Gillian Wilkins is an international Fashion Editor, Stylist and Brand Consultant, currently living between Sydney and Mallorca.

One of many things we love about Gillian and her work is that her central concern is for the sustainability of the fashion industry.

Formerly Fashion Director at ELLE UK and Russh Magazine, she’s contributed to numerous publications including Vogue internationally with a career spanning over a decade.

Always a step away from conventionality, Gillian’s a polymathic Creative who consistently elevates fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands who wish to define who they are.

She and her husband Alex wanted to create a lifestyle with a deeper connection to nature, and one that inspires a new way of ‘being’, so moving their lives from New York & London to the Balearic islands was something that made perfect sense. Living in Mallorca allows them to travel freely, expand artistically, and live sustainably.

Making the move while Gillian was pregnant was the perfect moment to shift their priorities and dream up a more long term and meaningful life plan.

Summer 2020 saw Gillian partner with Fashion Creative and Stylist, Raquel Franco, and together they launched STIU Collective, hosted at beautiful interior design boutique, Obsolete in Valldemossa.

Now home to their annually curated pop-up store, (which included Datura pieces!), STIU Collective is a sustainable initiative motivated by international and local brands, up-cycling, and dead-stock whilst providing a platform for local artists to share their unique narratives with social and environmental responsibilities at the forefront of their practices.

Currently, Gillian's primary focus is on the Healing Arts, and launching a Sohu-m Space during 2021. This work is rooted in deep authenticity and embodied healing. Integrating body, mind and spirit intelligence wholly through the laws of nature.

Gillian says her greatest pleasures in life are “Being a mum and seeing life through the purity of Amadeus' eyes. Going for sunset swims, and eating fresh bread, tomatoes and olives - because they taste so good in Mallorca”.

We visited her beautiful family of three + their two dogs: Napoleon and Fred, at home in Soller, nestled on the coast of Mallorca’s Tramuntana mountains.

Here Gillian wears the Striped Linen Ren Shirt paired with the Striped Linen Karate Pants and the White Linen Petra Caftan Dress.
