To encounter Dora Good's pottery is to take a walk with her down the mountains of Deià to where they slip calmly into the clear blue sea.
Her work possesses an earthy and natural drama with an underlying sensuality & gentleness that belie only two years of working with clay, but then again, coming from a family of artists and her mother, a fellow ceramicist to share a studio with, it's no wonder she's found ceramics as the most natural way to express herself.
Dora was born in Mallorca & schooled in the USA (Florida & New York) and in London before settling back on the Island with her family. She counts their influence along with the raw natural beauty of Deià and it's surrounding landscape as being the things that most inspire her to create and develop her exquisite pieces.
